The DenariOnline Sponsorship module is designed to track, manage, and report on pledges made by a donor or sponsor intended as financial sponsorship or support for a third party. It is usually associated with 'Child Sponsorship' but can be used for any type of Sponsorship relationship. Denari provides for detailed records for sponsored names, donors and their pledges or sponsorship commitments. Donations can be made monthly, one-time, quarterly, or annually by Credit Card, Electronic Fund Transfer or by check. Credit Card and Electronic Fund Transfers can be set up to process automatically on a day agreed upon by you and the sponsor. You simply send receipts and pledge updates as needed.

Sponsored Names

• Denari allows the user to store an unlimited number of 'sponsored name' records. These are usually the name records for children being sponsored.
• The Sponsored Name record stores a large amount of data including 'grade, favorite subject, school, progress, country, community, health, handicap, personality traits, family information', and more.
• The Sponsored Name record assists with finding donors for sponsored children. It provides the ability for fundraisers to 'check out' a sponsored name record or multiple records to an event, donor, or fundraising individual. Checking a record out means that child's record is set aside for a period of time while potential sponsors are targeted.
• Sponsored Name Records are linked to Pledges made by donors or sponsors.

Pledges

• Pledges provide a way to track commitments by sponsors. They record the monthly payment amount, the length of the commitment, and offer a visual look at the donor's financial progress against the pledge.
• Pledges can be paid by Check, Credit Card, or Electronic Fund Transfer. When using Denari's Credit Card and Electronic Fund Transfer modules, pledges can be set to transact automatically on a designated day of the month.

Sponsorship Reporting

• DenariOnline provides four segmentation reporting tools. They are Name Segmenter, Gift Segmenter, Pledge Segmenter, and Sponsored Name Segmenter. Each allows you to apply criteria to filter your data to produce a targeted list of donors, sponsored names, gifts, or pledges. They can also be linked together to expand the list of criteria capabilities to provide a very detailed segmentation.
• Segments can be output as Excel spreadsheets to also provide a way to analyze your data in more detail.
• A number of pledge reports are available. The Pledge Statement is a form that can be sent to donors to update them on the status of their sponsorship pledge. The Pledge Acknowledgement Letter is a one-time form that can be sent to donors to acknowledge their pledge and confirm the details. There are also various standardized reports such as Pledge Summary and Pledge Detail that provide quick and easy reports in PDF format.
