You have a web site for your organization that communicates your vision and mission and you want to give donors the opportunity to make a donation while capturing their name and address in your data. There is a proliferation of blogs, news feeds, web magazines, shopping sites, travel sites, and sites aimed at every special interest. Everywhere you go on the Internet you are asked to log in and be part of the community. Why not ask your donors to be a part of your ‘community’?

Denari’s Online Community (OLC) Service gives you the ability to communicate quickly, effectively, and inexpensively, with your donors. It offers more than a web site where information is dispensed. It offers your donors the opportunity to log in, get inside and directed information, and be a part of what you are doing. Here are some of the features that OLC offers:

Donors can…

• Make donations to specific fundraising efforts (including Sharathon donations) using a Credit Card or Electronic Fund Transfer.
• Make ongoing donations through pledges using a Credit Card or Electronic Fund Transfer.
• Read about, sign up for, and pay for events.
• Take surveys to provide you with needed donor information.
• Purchase items like T-shirts, CD’s, Books, etc.
• View their own giving history and print receipts for specific gifts if needed.
• View their own pledge history and make donations to specific pledges.
• Choose to receive gift receipts in either email or printed form.
• Modify their personal information when changes occur.
• Sponsor a child (if you are a child sponsorship organization).
• Support a missionary (if you are a missionary organization or your staff raises personal support).

Your organization can…

• Send mass email to all of your donors or just selected donors. This gives you the ability to send newsletters, special donation opportunities, or regular updates on what your organization is doing. Emails can link donors back to your OLC site or your regular web site to learn more. Emails can be sent in both text and HTML format.
• Manage your OLC home page to provide special information to your community. You can update them on your organization, direct them to sign up for events, educate them on giving opportunities, etc.
• Use queries for surveys and events to send email or printed literature to those who have responded.
• Create new giving options, events, and surveys as needed.
• Manage items on the shopping pages using a basic inventory system.
• Manage available children for sponsorship using Denari’s Sponsorship Module.
• Manage Missionaries and their support.
• Send specially designed invitations to all or selected donors already in your Denari database.

Designed for Your Organization

When you sign up for OLC we will work with you to design the look and feel of your OLC site. We can make it look very similar to your existing web site or go an entirely different direction. While there are some limitations, the design of OLC has made it extremely flexible so that it can look pretty much the way you would like.

Options

OLC comes in two forms, the full-blown Online Community and Simple Online Giving (SOLG). OLC comes with all the features described above. But we realize that some organizations aren’t yet at a point where they can utilize all of those features but still need the ability for their donors to make donations and pledges online. SOLG gives you the ability for that. Like OLC, the site can be designed to look the way you want but it only includes the pages that will allow donors to make gifts and pledges. They will not be able to sign up for events, take surveys, purchase items, etc. SOLG is included as part of OLC.

Both OLC and SOLG include Denari’s Address Standardization, Credit Card, and Electronic Fund Transfer modules.
