Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), also known as ACH, has become a popular and safe way for donors to make regular donations. Many donors prefer the convenience and consistency of making donations by having them automatically withdrawn from their bank account. They no longer need to watch for and keep track of your return donation form to remind them to make their next donation.
It can also improve your fundraising bottom line. Gifts are more consistent when you don't have to rely on donors to remember to send in their check each month. Summer time doesn't have to be a slow period while donors are away on vacation. Denari makes the process of accepting, scheduling, and processing EFT donations easy and efficient.
Set Up is Easy
Simply set up each EFT donation as a Pledge. Fill in Start Date, Stop Date, Payment Frequency, and Payment Amount. Indicate the Day of the Month that the Transaction will take place. Fill in the EFT information provided by your donor, establish a Day of the Month for each transaction to take place, and you are finished.
Processing is Easy
On the day for processing you will simply click a link to run the EFT Export process. Denari will produce a file in an industry standard NACHA format. You will then pass that file on to your bank or processing company. At the same time, Denari will automatically create gift records for you as a batch. Once your NACHA file has been processed by your bank and the funds have been deposited into your account they will send you a report. Compare that report to the gift records in Denari for accuracy and close or post the batch. Now send receipts to your donors just as you normally would. Its as easy as that. Scheduled donations flow into your account accurately and consistently with a minimum of work on your part
Customers who use and promote EFT giving report that their giving percentage has increased dramatically and their donors are happier because they don't have to remember to write that check each month.
Note: Synergy can recommend a processing company if needed. |
