DenariOnline is a large database application designed for a web-browser client. The exact same software can be licensed in two different configurations: Hosted by Synergy and Hosted by You. When it is hosted by you we call it Client Server.

Client Server licensing permits you to install the software on your own server cluster. Denari is designed to run on a minimum of 4 dedicated servers. For several reasons we are not flexible on this issue. We gain a simplicity of support, an ease of upgrading and a scalability of performance from this distributed design. The users will still access Denari through their web-browser.

Client Server is usually only necessary for organizations who need back end access to the data. When electing Client Server you will inherit responsibility for end user support. Also, you will be responsible for maintaining the servers, the firewalls, the SSL certificates and for upgrades. Client Server definitely requires an IT person.

Only one of the servers will host the data, so it must be particularly fast and have a strong redundancy model. RAID 10 is recommended. The other 3 servers are used for distributed processing, and are relatively interchangeable.
