The Missionary Interface gives those who raise personal support the ability to access live data that is appropriate.They can add new donor records, create pledges for those donors, code or classify donors, create up to the minute giving reports, and do segmented mailings to donors or perspective donors. The key is that they use a completely different user interface designed specifically for them. It is easy to use and only gives them access to the right data with the right security levels.

There are two main allures to the missionary module:

First, it provides a tool that your Missionaries or Field Staff can use to raise personal support. It provides them with...
  1. A list of the names and addresses of the donors who support them or are on their mailing list. They are able to add to that list, edit, and delete name records as needed. New records that are added are checked for potential duplicates against your central data.
  2. Both detail and summary giving information about each of the name records on their list.
  3. The ability to record and track pledges for each of their name records.
  4. A segmentation tool that allows them to target mailings to selected groups of their name records.
  5. The ability to mass email all of their donors and prospects as often as needed.
  6. Up-to-the-minute information about their fundraising. They can know immediately how much has been raised for the accounts they are responsible for. There will be no surprises at the end of the month.
  7. The Central Office decides which name records each Missionary can view and edit. They have access to only those records.
  8. The Missionary interface is small enough that it can be utilized through a dial-up connection.

Second, it saves your Central Office staff time and effort...

  1. Since your Missionaries can log into their data and produce their own giving reports, your central office staff no longer needs to spend long hours producing and mailing giving reports each month.
  2. New and potential donor name records can be added and edited by the missionary in a timely fashion. Central Office staff need not focus their attention on those records.
  3. When a Missionary needs a phone number, they no longer need to call the Central Office for that information. It is at their fingertips and is available anytime they want, day or night.
  4. All data remains under the control of the Central Office.
